California Property & Casualty – 52 Hours
Property and Casualty (also known as Fire and Casualty) is the course you will need to obtain your California Property & Casualty Broker/Agent license. A property and casualty licensee is a person authorized to act as an insurance agent, broker, or solicitor for products such as but not limited to: auto, motorcycle, residential, flood, earthquake, liability and more. A property and casualty licensee is also authorized to transact, commercial insurance products, workers’ compensation and 24-hour Care coverage. This course INCLUDES the 12 hour Code and Ethics.

California Life Agent Combo- 52 Hours
Life Agent Combo is the course you will need to obtain both Life Only and Accident & Health licenses (Basically 1 for 2, one course for two licenses). A Life Only and Accident & Health licensee is a person authorized to act as a life agent which entitles them to transact insurance coverage on human lives, endowments, annuities, accidental death, disability income, sickness, bodily injury, 24 hour Care coverage, as well as Long Term Care insurance. California Code and Ethics – 12 hours
If you already have a 40 hour certificate or have an insurance license missing the California code and ethics requirement then this course is for you. This is the required 12 hours of California Code and Ethics course. Anyone moving into California with other State licenses will be required to complete this course.

California Personal Lines – 20 hours
Personal Lines is the course you will need to obtain your Personal Lines Broker/Agent license. A Personal Lines licensee is a person authorized to act as an insurance agent, broker, or solicitor for the same products as a Property and Casualty EXCEPT for commercial insurance products, workers’ compensation and 24-hour Care coverage. You will also need the 12 hour Code and Ethics course in order to obtain this license.

California Limited Lines Automobile – 20 hours
The Limited Lines Auto course is required for the Limited Lines Automobile Agent license (note that this license is agent only, not broker). This means that the person cannot charge fees and must be appointed by an insurer or business entity. This license authorizes the transaction of automobile insurance for the private, non-commercial use of the insured motor vehicle with a load capacity of 1,500 pounds or less. Automobile is defined as a motor vehicle for private passenger type vehicles including motorcycles that are not used for public transportation nor rented to others. You will also need the 12 hour Code and Ethics course in order to obtain this license.

California Accident and Health – 20 Hours

Accident and Health is the course you will need to obtain your Accident & Health Agent license (AH). An Accident & Health licensee is a person authorized to act as a life agent which entitles them to transact insurance coverage on sickness, bodily injury, accidental death, disability income, 24 hour Care coverage, as well as Long Term Care insurance. You will also need the 12 hour Code and Ethics course in order to obtain this license.

California Life Only – 20 hours
Life Only is the course you will need to obtain your Life Only Agent license (LO). A Life Only licensee is a person authorized to act as a life agent which entitles them to transact insurance coverage on human lives, endowments, annuities, accidental death and disability income. You will also need the 12 hour Code and Ethics course in order to obtain this license.

A Property Only licensee is a person authorized to act as an insurance agent, broker, or solicitor for products such as but not limited to: Businessowners policy, Commercial Multiple Peril, Commercial Property Coverage, Crop Insurance, Earthquake Insurance, Dwelling Property, Equipment Breakdown, Flood Insurance, Homeowners Personal Property, Inland Marine and Livestock.. You will also need the 12 hour Code and Ethics course in order to obtain this license.

A Casualty Only licensee is a person authorized to act as an insurance agent, broker, or solicitor for products such as but not limited to: Auto liability, Commercial General liability, Employment Practice liability, Personal and Professional liability, Umbrella or Excess liability, Watercraft as well as Workers’ Compensation. You will also need the 12 hour Code and Ethics course in order to obtain this license.

The Personal Lines Broker-Agent licensee who would like to apply to become a Property Broker-Agent and Casualty Broker-Agent licensee is required to take the Commercial Only examination. This Commercial Only exam will authorized the licensee to act as an insurance agent, broker, or solicitor for products such as but not limited to: Commercial Property, Commercial Automobile, Casualty Insurance, Businessowners policy, Commercial Package policy, Inland and Ocean Marine, Crime policy, Surety and General Bonds, Umbrella and Excess Liability as well as Workers’ Compensation. This course EXCLUDES the 12 hour Code and Ethics which you probably already have.
