Continuing Education Hours
All resident producers whose license is due for renewal on or after January 01, 2010 will be required to complete 24 hours of CE, including 3 hrs of CLASSROOM ethics by the license issurance date every two years.
Continuing Education Compliance Date
Continuing Education is due by the anniversary of the license issuance date every two years. Is is highly recommended that all CE be completed 30 days prior to renewal date.
License Renewal Date
License renewal date is the license issuance date biennially.
Type of courses accepted for CE Credit
Independent self study courses or classroom
Course Subject Requirements
All resident producers selling flood insurance must complete 3 hrs NFIP flood training. All resident producers who sell, solict or advertise long term care policies must complete an 8 hr one-time initial training course and 4 hrs of ongoing training every two years thereafter.
Carryover Requirements
A maximum of 15 credit hours may be carried over to the next reporting period.
Course Repetition
Credit will not be give for a course that is repeated within a 3 year period.
Final Exam
Final exam is not required to be monitored.
Exemptions
• Individuals with a temporary license
• Individuals with any of the following limited licenses: baggage, limited travel health, trip cancellation, industrial life or industrial health

Student Experience
1. Student will pay and enroll in the course.
2. No security validation is necessary.
3. The student does not have to pass the lessons before moving on to the final.He or she can skip to the final.
4. Illinois allows open book exams so the student can review the material from the previous lessons while taking the final.
5. Student cannot take the final more than 3 times and each final that the student takes must be significantly different from the other.
