Steps to Renew Your Indiana Insurance License

State Insurance Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing Education Hours

Twenty (20) CE credit hours are required biannually.

Continuing Education Compliance Date

Same as license renewal date.

License Renewal Date

Expirations will be on the last day of the month two years from the date of issue or renewal of license.

Course Subject Requirements

Producers who sell long-term care policies must complete 8 hours of LTC education prior to selling LTC and must include 5 hours of LTC CE every 2 years.

Carryover Requirements

Not allowed

Course Repetition

Courses may not be taken for credit more than once in a reporting period.

Final Exam

Self-study final exams are required to be monitored by a licensed agent.
