Continuing Education Hours
Twenty (20) CE credit hours are required biennially.
-Producers with a four year license are required to complete 40 hrs of CE quadrennially, by the last day of month of license issuance.
-Title producers with a four year license must complete 14 hours in courses related to the business of title insurance with at least four hours of instruction in a structured setting or comparable self-study concerning:
Ethical practices in the marketing and selling of title insurance
Title insurance underwriting
Escrow issue
Principles of the federal Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act
Title producers with a two year license must complete 7 hours in courses related to the business of title insurance.
Producers holding four year Limited Lines licenses (Mortgage, Industrial Fire, Funeral Directors, Crop Insurance, or Title*) must complete 10 credit hours of continuing education courses before the renewal period. These producers may use any approved course on any subject.
Continuing Education Compliance Date
Same as license renewal date.
License Renewal Date
Expirations will be on the last day of the month two years from the date of issue or renewal of license.

Course Subject Requirements
Producers who sell long-term care policies must complete 8 hours of LTC education prior to selling LTC and must include 5 hours of LTC CE every 2 years.
Agents wanting to market policies in the Indiana Long Term Care Partnership Program (ILTCP) must initially have 15 hours of continuing education (eight hours of basic LTC and seven hours in Partnership) before marketing, selling, or soliciting Partnership policies.
The (7) seven hour ILTCP course is a one-time-only requirement and is classroom only. Upon completion of any LTC course, producers must furnish the insurer with a photocopy of certificate of completion certifying that the producer has satisfied the education requirements.
Final Exam
Licensees are required to take the final exam in the presence of a proctor. The proctor must be a licensed agent, who has no business or family relationship to you. For example, an agency principal, a supervisor, a sales manager or a spouse would not qualify as a proctor.
Carryover Requirements
No carryover of hours is allowed.
Course Repetition
Credit will not be given for courses taken more than once in a reporting period.
