Continuing Education Hours
All licensed resident producers must 60 hrs of continuing education during the first 3 years of licensure. For every three years thereafter, all licensed resident producers are required to complete 45 hrs of continuing education, every three years.
Course Subject Requirements
At least 1 hr of the continuing education requirement must cover the line in which the producer is licensed.
Additional Training Requirements
NFIP Flood: All producers who sell flood products must complete a one-time 3 hr NFIP flood training course.

Carryover Requirements
Up to 45 hrs of continuing education credits may be carried over to the next compliance period.
Course Repetition
Producers are not allowed to repeat credits within a three-year period.
Final Exam Requirements
Final exams must be proctored by a disinterested third party administrator.
Exemptions
All non-residents who satisfy their home state requirements are exempt from the Massachusetts requirements.
All resident producers on military duty are also exempt from the continuing education requirement.
All individuals licensed prior to April 4, 1983 are exempt from CE requirements as long as they remain continuously licensed. Individuals licensed prior to April 4, 1983 who subsequently amend their license by adding additional lines of authority, which require an examination, are then subject to CE requirements. (211 CMR 50.04(b)).

Anniversary of license issuance date, triennially.
Continuing Education Date
Anniversary of license issuance date, triennially.
