Continuing Education Hours:
All resident producers are required to complete 24 hrs of continuing education including 3 hrs of ethics, every two years.
Additional Training Requirements
NFIP Flood: All producers who sell flood products must complete a one-time NFIP flood training course.
LTC/P: All producers who plan to sell, solicit, or negociate long term care policies must complete a one-time 8 hr long term care training course, followed by 4 hrs of ongoing training every two years, thereafter.
Types of Courses Accepted for Credit
• Classroom.
• Self-Study.

Course Repetition
Courses may not be repeated more than once within a compliance period.
Final Exam Requirements
Self Study final exams must be proctored by a disinterested third party administrator.

Continuing education is due by the first day of the month of birth, biennially. Odd/even years is based on year of birth.
License Renewal Date

Exemptions
All agents licensed with the following lines of authority are exempt from the CE requirement: 1) Limitied Life, (2) Turkey, Crop, and Hail, (3) Travel, Accident and Baggage, (4) Title, and (5) Crop Products.
Agents who meet one of the following requirements, may also obtain a waiver to be exempt from the CE requirement:
1. The licensee has a terminal illness - the disability must impact the licensee's ability to function as a producer.
2. Illness of self or spouse that required an inordinate amount of time for care by the licensee.
3. Military duty - active duty or deployment
