Steps to Renew Your Missouri Insurance License

  • Upon completion of our online courses you will be able to print your certificates online and so that you may report your credit hours to the Missouri Department of Insurance with you license renewal form.

State Insurance Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing Education Hours

Ten (10) CE credit hours are required biennially (16 hours biennially for combined LH/PC licenses) to renew a license.

Continuing Education Compliance Date

Same as license renewal date.

License Renewal Date

License renewal date is the license issuance date, biennially.

Types of courses accepted for CE Credit

  • Self-study
  • Classroom study
  • On line courses

Course Subject Requirements

  • Courses must be approved for lines of insurance for which license is held.
  • Property producers must complete a one-time 3 hour NFIP Flood course. These three hours are not required in addition to the normal 10 hours.

Carryover Requirements

Excess CE credit hours may be carried over to the next reporting period.

Course Repetition

Courses may not be repeated in the same renewal period.

Final Exam

Self-study final exams are required to be monitored by a disinterested third party.
