Is there a pre-license education requirement?
Yes, agents are required to complete approved pre-licensing coursework prior to taking the licensing examination. This can be done via classroom or via an approved online course.
How many pre-license education credits are required?
Life/Variable Annuites = 20 Hours
Accident/Health = 20 Hours
Property = 20 Hours
Casualty = 20 Hours
Do I need an approved proctor to administer the final exam?
A 360training approved proctor must administer all final exams. Please click here to view a list of all available proctors and contact information. Exams must be scheduled with the proctor a minimum of 24 hours before taking the exam. Final exams taken without an approved 360training proctor will not be valid. All forms necessary for the final exam and proctoring will be made available within the course or by the proctor.
What is the pre-license education completion procedure?
Following successful course completion the agent should receive a completion certificate for his/her records. The course provider will then report completion hours to the Ohio Department of Insurance.
