Continuing Education Hours:
All producers are required to complete 24 hrs of continuing education including 3 hrs of ethics every two years.
All public adjusters are required to complete 24 hrs of continuing education including 3 hrs of ethics every two years.
All multi-peril crop insurance adjuster license are required to complete 24 hrs of continuing education, including 3 hrs of ethics every two years. This requirement is in addition to any other continuing education requirements required for other licenses that the individual holds.
Course Subject Requirements:
- NFIP Flood: All producers who sell flood insurance products must complete a one-time 3 hr NFIP flood training course.
- LTC/P: All producers who sell long term care insurance policies must complete a one-time 8 hr LTC training course, followed by 4 hrs of ongoing training every two years thereafter.
Type of courses accepted for CE Credit:
- Classroom
- Self Study
Carryover Requirements:
A producer may carry over a maximum of 12 credit hours, excluding ethics credits to the next renewal cycle if additional hours are obtained during the biennium.
Method to Certify Completion:
Upon completion of the course, each producer will be issued a certificate of completion.
Course Repetition:
Courses may not be repeated
Continuing Education Compliance Date:
Continuing educations must be completed by the last day of the licensee's birth month every two years.
License Renewal Date:
Continuing educations must be completed by the last day of the licensee's birth month every two years.
