Steps to Renew Your West Virginia Insurance License

  • 360training will report your credit hours to the West Virginia Office of the Insurance Commissioner via Thomson Prometric within 15 days.
  • The West Virginia Department of Insurance requires your CE to be completed biennially in even years by April 30th

State Insurance Continuing Education Requirements

Continuing Education Hours

Producers will be required to complete 24-hours of approved continuing education, 3 hours of which must be approved in Ethics. Producers who sell solely thru telemarketing or sell only pre-need will be required to complete 6-hours of approved continuing education, 3 hours of which must be approved in Ethics.

Continuing Education Compliance Date

April 30th bienially in even years.

Types of courses accepted for CE Credit

Independent self study courses, classroom or online.

Course Subject Requirements

3 hours of Ethics are required.

Carryover Requirements

Carryover of excess CE credit hours is NOT allowed.

Course Repetition

Courses may not be repeated in the same renewal period.

Final Exam

Self-study courses must have a completion exam.
